E-Commerce Development Roadmap to be drawn

A roadmap for e-commerce development will be drawn up based on a letter of understanding signed by head of the ITO and Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade

In order to develop the SOS center for communication network of industries (Shabab), a letter of understanding for cooperation has been signed by Eng. Hakim Javadi, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technology and Eng. Mofateh, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.

“One of the main objectives of the National Information Network construction is to solve two fundamental problems of security and bandwidth,” said Dr. Reza Taghipour, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, during the ceremony. “One of the main objectives of the National Information Network construction is to solve two fundamental problems of security and bandwidth,” he added. There are two types of infrastructures in the e-commerce and e-economy area and the infrastructure needed for connecting citizens to the commerce centers are among these infrastructures.

“The main issues studied in the field of communication infrastructures are the institutions’ and citizens’ access rate, the security level and the service quality, sustainability and credibility of services.”

He emphasized that the empowerment in different areas such as software, equipment and developing the electronic services are among topics that are discussed in the debates on infrastructures for e-commerce and e-economy.

According to Eng. Hakim Javadi, 12 Articles of the 5th Development plan are related to e-commerce, directly or indirectly. Also, 75000 new businesses are developing annually in the IT sector and these technologies are able to provide new opportunities for entrepreneurs.  He added “school networks, scientific network, banks network, taxes network, costumes network, trade network, and health network are among the networks that will be developed and provide the ground for e-commerce development.
